SC Johnson STEM Scholars Pathway

High school seniors, get ready to enter the STEM career of your dreams! Thanks to a generous donation from SC Johnson, the STEM Scholars Pathway program allows you to pursue your interests in science, technology, engineering and math. You’ll receive financial and student support as you complete the first two years of your program at Gateway Technical College before transferring to Carthage College, Concordia University Wisconsin, or the Milwaukee School of Engineering or the University of Wisconsin-Parkside to complete your bachelor’s degree.

  • Receive financial support as you earn your degree. The STEM Scholars Pathway provides funding to assist with the cost of tuition, books and supplies for four years.

Two Steps to Apply!

Students must complete the STEM Scholars Pathway program application as well as Gateway's Application for Admission. Please review all eligibility requirements.

  1. Complete the SC Johnson STEM Scholars Pathway program application, which includes a personal statement of purpose, copy of your high school transcript, and name & email address of high school teacher, counselor or administrator willing to provide letter of recommendation. Applicants must have at least one letter of recommendation.
  2. Complete the Gateway application for admission and be admitted to your chosen program at Gateway.

Graduating high school seniors must submit all application requirements by April 5, 2024 for consideration.

4-year Transfer Options

The STEM Scholars Pathway provides students the opportunity to complete their associate degree at Gateway and transfer to Carthage College, Concordia University Wisconsin or Milwaukee School of Engineering to complete their bachelor's degree in a related STEM field. Explore transfer options:
