Gateway Technical College Foundation Inc. at its annual award ceremony Feb. 21 awarded 185 scholarships totaling nearly $108,000 and benefiting more than 130 students by helping them fulfill their career and educational goals.

“Research has shown that Gateway Foundation scholarship recipients graduate at a 10 percent higher rate than the benchmark group at the college,” said Foundation Executive Director Jennifer Charpentier. “Scholarships make such a difference for our students.

“Many of our recipients have told us that they would not be able to go to school this semester unless they had the scholarship. We are grateful to our many donors who make our students attaining their dreams possible.”
