Gateway Technical College will hold a seminar on winter birds 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 14 at its Center for Sustainable Living on its Kenosha Campus, 3520-30th Ave., Kenosha.

Well-known Hoy Audubon Society member and area birding expert Rick Fare will give the presentation.

Attendees will learn about the psychological and behavioral adaptations birds have developed to survive Wisconsin’s cold winters and how they can help them by using different types of feeders and food. Tips will also be provided on how to identify the state’s winter birds.
