Dantes Subject Standardized Test (DSST) exams allow students to receive college credit for what a student already knows. DSST has an extensive list of subject-level exams that cover both upper and lower-level baccalaureate credit courses. DSST exams are recommended for credit by the American Council of Education (ACE).

By successfully passing a DSST Exam, students can save on college tuition by fulfilling degree course requirements. Please read Gateway’s guidelines on accepting DSST scores below:

  1. To receive proficiency college credit, a student must be accepted into an associate degree, technical diploma, certificate or apprenticeship program offered by Gateway.
  2. To receive proficiency college credit, students must submit an official (unopened) DSST test score directly from Prometric Official Score Report to Gateway Technical College.
  3. To receive proficiency college credit, a minimum score is required. Minimum scores vary per test.

Please see the Current List of DSST Exams accepted by Gateway Technical College.
