National Resource Directory

The National Resource Directory (NRD) is a resource website for wounded warriors, Service Members, Veterans, their families, and caregivers that provides access to services and resources at the national, state, and local levels to support recovery, rehabilitation and community reintegration. Veterans Crisis Line

The Veterans Crisis Line is a free, confidential resource that’s available to anyone, even if you’re not registered with VA or enrolled in VA health care. The responders at the Veterans Crisis Line are specially trained and experienced in helping Veterans of all ages and circumstances.

RallyPoint

RallyPoint is a digital platform for the military community to come together and discuss military topics both socially and professionally. RallyPoint connects military service members, veterans, family members, caregivers, survivors, and supporters of those in uniform with tools to succeed in life. American Legion

Chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness, the American Legion is the nation’s largest wartime veterans service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans. Among its many programs, the American Legion provides cash grants for children of service members as financial assistance for emergency aid.

Operation First Response

Operation First Response is a direct service charity that returns over 95% of the monies we raise directly to those military families who need our assistance. Founded in 2004, Operation First Response has raised over $10 Million by providing financial assistance to over 19,800 wounded heroes and their families facing a variety of hardships.

Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes

Since its inception in 2004, the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes has provided millions of dollars in direct financial aid and support services to thousands of disabled American veterans of Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, and New Dawn. The Coalition helps veterans and their families to pay the bills in financially straining times of transition, or take an online course so they can continue their education.

USA Cares

USA Cares is an organization that helps keep veterans in their homes. According to their website, they have allocated $10 million in grants to support veterans who face a range of problems from unemployment to foreclosure to PTSD.

Disabled American Veterans

Disabled American Veterans serves veterans who have become disabled in their duty. Nationally, the DAV offers an array of help from its 100 national offices, including education and home loan guarantees.

VFW

Their mission is to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflict, to serve our veterans, the military and our communities, and to advocate on behalf of all veterans. Their vision is to ensure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is a nonprofit veterans service organization composed of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, guard and reserve forces. For more information, visit the VFW website.
