Credit may be granted upon review of an official military transcript requested from Joint Services Transcript - JST and sent to Gateway Technical College. A student must be accepted into an associate degree, technical diploma, certificate or apprenticeship program. In accordance with Wisconsin State Statutes 38.12(7)(b), course credit recommendations established by the American Council on Education (ACE) are considered and evaluated against Gateway course learning outcomes and competences as outlined in WIDS by Gateway appointed faculty and content experts. Students completing basic training are eligible for elective credits, and a maximum of 12 elective credits will be awarded from all JST experiences. All Gateway students must complete 25% of the major as well as overall program course requirements at Gateway in order to earn a credential. Evaluation results and course credits awarded will be communicated to students via their Gateway email.
Questions regarding your JST evaluation may be directed to cfpl@gtc.edu. Students with coursework from the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) should contact transferevals@gtc.edu.
