If you want to be an integral part of the molding industry, consider a career as a mold maker. Mold makers build, assemble, troubleshoot, repair and sometimes design molds. You’ll use CAD software, blueprints, your imagination and a wide range of machine-shop equipment, including CNC and manual machines.

Qualifications
You must be physically able to perform the job, at least 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent.
Get started as a Mold Maker Apprentice
You should apply directly to employers, and entry requirements vary by employer.
If you need assistance finding an employer who will take you on as an apprentice, please contact the local WI DWD-BAS Apprenticeship Training Representative at 414-216-8417 to find an employer approved to train apprentices.
Once your contract is in place, Gateway’s Apprenticeship department will communicate with you regarding registration, classes and books.
