In this course, learners will build the foundational skills needed to perform basic operations in a multiengine aircraft. Learners develop skills including preflight planning and inspection, aircraft control including takeoffs, landings, stalls, applied aerodynamics and emergency operations. Upon completion of this course, learners will have accrued 10.5 (ten and one-half) multiengine hours, 3 (three) hours in an advanced aviation training device and have acquired the minimum set of skills necessary to safely operate a multiengine airplane from preflight through engine start, taxi, takeoff, normal flight maneuvers and emergencies to include single-engine operations, landing, shutdown and securing the aircraft.
