In this course students will learn the general theory, operation and applications of diagnostic systems. OBD scan tools, graphing multi-meters, Digital Storage Oscilloscopes and Exhaust Gas Analyzers will be used to collect vehicle data and diagnose common system failures in late model vehicles. Upon completion of this course learners will be able to utilize OEM and aftermarket diagnostic equipment to scan, diagnose and repair some of the most complex systems on today's vehicles. Preparedness for the ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) exam is emphasized.
