News Release:

Gateway Technical College will hold its 17th Annual Celebrate Earth Day, a community event featuring fun, hands-on activities for folks of all ages to learn how to be stewards of the environment.

Thousands have come to the celebration, which has become the premiere environmental event in Southeastern Wisconsin. It will be held 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., April 12, on Gateway’s Kenosha Campus, 3520-30th Ave., and Gateway’s Elkhorn Campus, 400 County Road H, Elkhorn.

“From little children to adults, there's something for everyone to do and learn from at Celebrate Earth Day,” said Abbie Ford, Gateway manager, community relations and communications. “The event continues to grow every year and spreads across our main campuses at two locations.

“This event provides a great way for us to help the community learn new skills to help everyone become better stewards of the environment, have fun and make a difference.”

The events are free and open to the public. For a full guide to all activities for the day at Kenosha Campus and Elkhorn Campus, please go to www.gtc.edu/earthday.
