Learn to read, write and speak English with Gateway’s ELL program. Our free ELL classes meet two days a week for six hours per week. You’ll start with an orientation that helps instructors find the best starting place for you. You only pay for the cost of a textbook and workbook that you’ll use the whole year.
No matter what languages you already know, our English as a Second Language instructors can help you master English with face-to-face activities in the classroom and with technology. After you’re finished with English classes, take your next step with one of Gateway’s 75+ career-focused programs.
Register for the orientation class at a Student Services Center on the Elkhorn, Kenosha or Racine campus.
- Registration for Fall Semester starts in August.
