Gateway Technical College will hold an apprentice meet and greet event beginning at 5:30 p.m. March 30 at its SC Johnson iMET Center, 2320 Renaissance Blvd., Sturtevant.
Gateway apprenticeship program instructors and staff, plus representatives from the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and Associate Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin organization, will be on hand to answer any questions potential employers may have about sponsoring an apprentice, as well as questions potential students may have about becoming an apprentice.
This open house event is a great opportunity to network, build relationships and talk shop with apprenticeship program staff and key state-level contacts.
Employers benefit from apprenticeship by reducing worker turnover, gaining highly productive skilled workers with experience using the latest technology and building a highly trained workforce.
Apprentices benefit through paid training, higher wages and easy entry into a solid career.
