Another national group has selected Gateway Technical College as a host site for professional development in the area of innovation and technical education.
Gateway will host the American Technical Education Association’s Region 3 Conference, Oct. 26-Oct. 27 at the SC Johnson integrated Manufacturing and Engineering Technology Center, 2320 Renaissance Blvd., Sturtevant.
The conference, “Gateway to Innovation,” will draw instructors from the Midwest and feature workshops on technical education, innovation and entrepreneurship on topics such as robotics, Fab Labs, telecom technology, opening technical-focused businesses and partnerships between colleges and high schools, among others.
Gateway Technical College President and CEO Bryan Albrecht is the Region 3 Council president for ATEA. Region 3 is a six-state area of the Midwest including Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Indiana and Ohio.
