  • Students must meet one of the following multiple measures: earned a technical diploma or higher,* earned a minimum high school GPA of 2.6, earned a minimum college GPA of 2.0 or submit ACT or Accuplacer test scores. Submit any needed transcripts or test scores. *Please note short term technical diplomas do not fulfill Multiple Measures. These programs include Nursing Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced EMT, and Truck Driving.

Payroll Assistant

Build a foundation for a career in payroll with the Payroll Assistant certificate. After completing this certificate, students will be able to compile and record employee time and payroll data. They will also be prepared to compute and post wages, calculate deductions and prepare paychecks. Students will be familiar with payroll laws and preparing reconciliations. Employment opportunities for students who complete this certificate include payroll clerk, payroll assistant, payroll specialist or personnel assistant.

Tax Preparer Assistant

Develop the skills for employment in tax preparation with the Tax Preparer Assistant certificate. After completing this certificate, you'll be able to prepare tax returns for individuals and sole proprietorships. Students are taught to interpret figures and what they mean to the individual or company. Employment opportunities include tax preparer or tax associate.

Learn how to compute, classify and record numerical data to keep financial records for a small company with the Small Business Accounting certificate. Students who complete this certificate will be able to proficiently perform any routine calculating, posting and verifying duties primary to maintaining accurate financial records. Employment opportunities for students who complete this certificate include accounting clerk, bookkeeper, accounting assistant, accounts receivable/payable clerk or accounting associate for small business.
