Everyone is welcome in the Fab Lab! From inventors experimenting with new ideas to entrepreneurs creating prototypes to artists unleashing their creative talents, the multipurpose Fab Lab offers plenty of opportunities to express yourself.
One of the best ways to get familiar with the Fab Lab is taking a workshop to familiarize yourself with the equipment, safety procedures and Fab Lab rules. We offer two workshops for beginning Fab Lab users:
Introduction to Fab Lab
This workshop is an introduction to and overview of the Fab Lab, including the Lab’s history and origins, its application, implications and impact on education and the community. This session includes hands-on demonstrations of 3D printing, laser engraving, CNC routing and vinyl cutting.
Employers in the Fab Lab
The Fab Lab isn’t just a great teaching tool or entrepreneurial opportunity–it’s a great way to provide team building, product creation and innovation for local businesses. Our state-of-the-art professional development workshops and world-class rapid prototyping are great ways employers can use the resources of the Fab Lab.
Open Labs
Times are set aside for usage of lab equipment, staffed by the lab team to assist with projects.
