Caio Lisboa is Gateway Technical College's newest District Ambassador and will now serve as the student voice of the college to communities in Kenosha County, Racine County and Walworth County, as well as at speaking engagements during public events held by Gateway each year.

Lisboa was initially selected as the Elkhorn Campus Ambassador. Other Campus Ambassadors selected include Susan Muenter (East Troy), for the Kenosha Campus and Anahi Herrera (Franksville), for the Racine Campus. One District Ambassador is chosen from the field of three campus ambassadors.

"Congratulations to the 2025 Gateway Technical College Campus Ambassadors. It is a great honor to be nominated, and ultimately chosen, to represent the students of each campus and I thank each of them for their leadership and their dedication to serving their fellow students," said Matt Janisin, Gateway Technical College executive vice president - Academic Affairs.

"Additional kudos to District Ambassador Caio Lisboa who will also represent Gateway students at the state level as part of the Wisconsin Technical College System. It is important to have a student voice at the state level and a great learning opportunity to network with other students from across WTCS."

Lisboa, a Nursing student, will represent Gateway at a statewide leadership conference of District Ambassadors from each college of the Wisconsin Technical College System and also received a $1,000 Gateway Technical College Foundation tuition voucher.

Muenter is enrolled in the college’s Landscape Horticulture program and Herrera is in the Liberal Arts - Associate of Arts transfer degree program. Each will also receive a Foundation tuition voucher and serve as the student voice to communities and the college from their respective campuses.

Nominees are selected based on their outstanding character, positive attitude, leadership abilities, personal goals, communication skills, enthusiasm and self-confidence.
