Gateway Technical College’s Horticulture program will hold its annual plant sale 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 6 at the Pike Creek Horticulture Center on the Kenosha Campus, 3520-30th Ave.
New this year are a wide range of native plants, an important component in any landscape or garden design. Other featured sale items include perennials, native plants, hanging baskets, annual flowers, vegetables and herbs.
Horticulture instructors will also conduct two free tours of Gateway’s Kenosha Campus grounds, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and answer any gardening or landscape questions. The tour will include the college’s urban farm lab, trial gardens and learning gardens.
Sales help pay for Horticulture student industry and career exploration trips, competitions, garden needs and general program needs.
