High-schoolers considering an environmental- or water-related career are invited to attend a Gateway Technical College event aimed at providing them a broad overview of the skills and components of work in this expanding industry.
Gateway’s Center for Sustainable Living presents Careers in Water – A High School Sustainability Seminar, 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. May 30, at the SC Johnson iMET Center, 2320 Renaissance Blvd., Sturtevant.
This is a free event for all high school students. An overview of water-related careers, from engineering to research, watershed management, wetland related work and more will be presented. Guidance counselors, teachers and parents are also welcome.
