The National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE) today named Gateway Technical College President and CEO Bryan Albrecht as the 2015 Entrepreneurial President, an award which recognizes a college president nationally for “entrepreneurial mindset in building an entrepreneurial spirit throughout internal and external campus communities.”
Albrecht was named Entrepreneurial President at the national NACCE convention.
Albrecht’s nominator said “Bryan embodies an entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to explore new opportunities for Gateway Technical College and the communities Gateway serves.”
“Bryan has an open door policy and will often tell employees to bring new ideas forward. This policy has allowed Gateway to develop several strategic partnerships with business and industry, economic development and workforce training partners, that are continuously bringing new events, programs and partnerships to our region and have elevated Gateway Technical College to a model college for innovation, collaboration and entrepreneurial thinking and programs.”
The Entrepreneurial President awardee will be featured on the front cover of NACCE’s journal, Community College Entrepreneurship.
