Well-known gardening expert, author and TV/radio host Melinda Myers will keynote Gateway Technical College’s 25th Annual WinterGreen conference, an event featuring experts offering advice and insight into the trends of the horticulture industry today.
The conference will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 27 in the Madrigrano Auditorium, located in the Conference Center of Gateway’s Kenosha Campus, 3520-30th Ave. Industry experts and the public are welcome to attend.
Myers will feature two presentations: “Creating a Colorful Garden Filled with Birds, Butterflies, Blossoms, Color Form and Year-Round Interest” and “Bring the World to Your Backyard; Creating your own Backyard Vacationland.”
- Megan Cain, founder and CEO of The Creative Vegetable Gardener, will present on planning a high-yield, garden.
- Roy Diblik, co-owner of Northwind Perennial Farm and Jeff Epping, Obrich Botanical Gardens director of horticulture, will present on sustainable garden design.
- The event will also feature lunch, vendors, a silent auction and book sales.
