Gateway Technical College’s student chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals will hold a free PC-based computer clinic 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 23 in Room 100 at Burlington Center, 496 McCanna Pkwy.
This is the first time the group will hold the clinic in Burlington this academic year.
AITP members will diagnose PC computer problems and fix them to the best of their ability. Those bringing in computers can either watch the entire troubleshooting process with the student, or drop of the computer and pick it up later in the event. While the event is free, donations are appreciated.
Members will also sell used and restored computers at the event.
There is a two-computer limit per person, and attendees should not bring the mouse, keyboard or monitor. Computers will be worked on in a first-come, first-served basis.
The event allows students to give back to the community while honing the skills they will use once they enter their career.
