Having problems with your computer? Computer slow – and you need it to speed up?
Gateway Technical College’s student chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals will hold a computer clinic Nov. 14 with computer check-in 9 a.m. to noon, and pick up from noon to 2 p.m., in the Huron Room of the Racine Building on the Racine Campus, 1001 S. Main St.
Computers will be worked on in a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. All computers must be picked up by 2 p.m.
The computer is a fund-raiser for the student club, and a $20 fee will be charged for each computer which is worked on.
There is a two-computer limit per person, and participants should not bring in the mouse, keyboard or monitor. However, those bringing laptop computers should also bring their own power supply.
The Huron Room can be accessed through the eastern entrance to the Racine Building next to the northeast parking lot of the campus.
Many members of the community have benefited from participating in the program where a computer can be brought to the clinic and if possible, restored to working order. The event also allows students to give back to the community while honing the skills they will use once they enter their career.
